About the role

Role Overview

Front-End Development Manager to lead a team of developers building and improving React Native mobile app experiences for iOS and Android. This is primarily a people leadership role, while staying close to the work to guide technical and delivery decisions that create meaningful customer and business value.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop a team of developers through feedback, mentorship, career development, and performance management
Set clear priorities, ownership, expectations, and goals
Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus
Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team development

Delivery & Technical Leadership

Support planning and delivery across new features, bug fixes, technical improvements, and platform initiatives
Help the team navigate technical challenges, tradeoffs, and changing priorities by removing obstacles and identifying risks early
Ensure delivery meets expectations for quality, accessibility, performance, maintainability, and customer experience
Improve development practices, standards, and ways of working

Business & Cross-Functional Partnership

Partner with Product, Design, Accessibility, and Engineering to deliver better outcomes
Translate day-to-day work into customer needs, product goals, and business priorities
Communicate progress, risks, and priorities to stakeholders and keep work moving
Contribute to discussions about product direction and technical investments

Requirements

7+ years of experience in mobile development, front-end development, or related technical roles
Proven track record of leading and developing engineers with strong technical judgment and coaching skills

Nice to Haves / Additional Constraints

Comfortable evaluating customer experience, technical challenges, and business goals to guide decisions
Experience improving team delivery practices and ensuring accessibility, performance, and maintainability

Home office setup with minimal noise/distractions
Valid physical address required for equipment delivery (no PO boxes)
