About the role

Role Overview

Front-End Development Manager to lead a team of developers building and improving React Native mobile experiences for iOS and Android. This is primarily a people leadership role, while staying close to the work to guide decision-making and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop developers through feedback, mentorship, career development, and performance management
Set clarity on priorities, ownership, expectations, and goals
Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus
Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team development

Delivery & Technical Leadership

Support planning and delivery of new features, bug fixes, technical improvements, and platform initiatives
Help the team navigate technical challenges, tradeoffs, and shifting priorities by removing obstacles and identifying risks early
Ensure delivery meets standards for quality, accessibility, performance, maintainability, and customer experience
Improve development practices, standards, and ways of working

Business & Cross-Functional Partnership

Partner with Product, Design, Accessibility, and Engineering to deliver better outcomes
Translate day-to-day work into customer needs, product goals, and business priorities
Communicate progress, risks, and priorities to stakeholders
Contribute to discussions on product direction, technical investments, and customer experience improvements

Requirements

7+ years experience in mobile development, front-end development, or related technical roles
Proven track record leading and developing engineers (coaching + delivery leadership)

Nice-to-Haves / Additional Requirements (Remote Suitability)

Reliable high-speed internet (preferred 75+ Mbps download / 10+ Mbps upload)
Dedicated, noise- and distraction-free home office with strong wireless or wired Ethernet
Valid physical address (PO boxes not supported for equipment)
Ability to communicate via chat/webcam and work with a distributed team
Legal resident of one of the listed US states (includes PA)
No H-1B sponsorship (W2 only)
