About the role

Role Overview

Front-End Developer to support a U.S. Intelligence Agency in Springfield, VA (contingent upon contract award). You will implement intuitive, responsive user interfaces for TSSC applications, ensuring security compliance and an optimal user experience for technical security personnel.

Responsibilities

Design and implement user interfaces for TSSC applications and analytical tools
Develop and maintain user-facing features using modern front-end technologies
Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, feasible front-end implementations
Build interactive data visualization components for technical security data
Create responsive web applications for field use by TSSC personnel
Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and accessibility
Implement user authentication and authorization interfaces
Ensure compliance with security requirements for classified environments
Coordinate with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs
Optimize performance and usability for technical security operations
Provide technical leadership to junior front-end developers
Document front-end architecture, components, and interfaces
Conduct usability testing and iterate based on user feedback

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field
8+ years of front-end development experience
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
Proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive design
Experience developing applications for secure environments
Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn
Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
Understanding of web security best practices
Experience with data visualization libraries and techniques
Active TS/SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications

Experience with classified systems and security requirements
UX/UI design principles for technical applications
Technical data visualization experience
Familiarity with TSSC operations and requirements
Experience with secure authentication methods
TypeScript proficiency
Testing frameworks: Jest, Cypress, or Playwright
Web accessibility knowledge (WCAG)
State management: Redux, MobX, or Vuex
GraphQL experience
SSR/SSG frameworks knowledge
