About the role
Front-End Developer (Part-time)
Company: Kivo Studio
Location: San Francisco, CA (or remote)
Role overview
You’ll be the bridge between design and technology, translating high-fidelity visual concepts into fully functional, responsive, high-performance web experiences. This is a design-driven role where you’ll help shape how users interact with client products.
Responsibilities
- Transform high-fidelity designs into interactive, responsive web applications
- Optimize for speed, accessibility, and performance across devices and browsers
- Implement front-end best practices, including code reviews and testing
- Integrate with back-end developers by connecting APIs and dynamic content
- Research and adopt new tools/frameworks to improve workflow and output
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
- Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization
- Experience with Git and collaborative workflows
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and follow coding standards
- Passion for creating human-centered, engaging digital experiences
- Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, or other data-fetching methods
Nice to have
- Experience with testing frameworks and front-end build tools
