About the role

Role Overview

Long-term contract Front End Developer responsible for building engaging, high-performing digital experiences for retail customers across multiple web channels.

Responsibilities

Lead front-end development for ecommerce and branded/store/corporate web platforms to deliver consistent user experiences.
Partner with business stakeholders, leadership, and external vendors to gather requirements and shape practical solutions.
Review wireframes, concepts, and interaction models; provide technical input and usability recommendations.
Define and improve site structure, page flow, navigation, and functional behavior.
Convert strategy, user insights, and UX principles into responsive, scalable interfaces and application features.
Coordinate with information systems and related teams to align with standards, governance, and operational processes.
Support compliance-focused website practices, including auditable controls and legally sound digital experiences.
Monitor enhancements and defects, troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and participate in testing.
Produce documentation (interaction diagrams, process flows, architecture maps) to communicate front-end direction.
Manage competing priorities and deliver quality work within fast-moving project timelines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
3+ years designing and developing consumer-facing websites/digital interfaces.
3+ years hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
3+ years front-end web programming/software logic experience.
Working knowledge of React.js and other modern front-end frameworks.
Experience with tools such as Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop.
Familiarity with usability testing methods and applying findings.
Strong understanding of cross-browser behavior, rendering differences, and performance considerations (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and IE).
