Front End Developer (React.js, Next.js)

Role Overview

Remote Front End Developer to join a streamlined engineering team. You will own the application layer end-to-end, translating design concepts into high-performance, accessible web features while using modern developer workflows (including AI-assisted tools) to move fast.

Responsibilities

• Own the frontend codebase end-to-end (routing, state management, build tooling, performance, accessibility)
• Translate design frameworks and functional requirements into polished, high-performance web applications
• Integrate AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot/Cursor) into daily workflows to accelerate boilerplate, testing, and debugging
• Automate repetitive UI tasks, data formatting, and environment setup via utility scripting
• Securely integrate with backend APIs and confidently handle complex data structures and payload serialization
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies (estimates, technical insights) and help maintain sprint velocity
• Break down complex feature requests into user stories and technical tasks

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering focused on modern frontend frameworks
• Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of component design patterns and responsive layouts
• Basic scripting skills for local development/workflow automation (e.g., Node.js, Python, Bash)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor
• Excellent written communication and experience with asynchronous collaboration
• Ability to work independently and participate in Agile/Scrum
• Ability to decompose complex frontend features into manageable user stories and technical tasks

Nice to Have

• Experience with design systems
• Automation scripting and emerging technologies (e.g., LLM endpoints, vector embeddings)
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or Linear

Benefits

• $125,000–$145,000 per year (competitive salary)
