About the role
Role Overview
Mid-level Front End Developer (remote) at Maximus. This position is contingent upon contract award and requires authorization to proceed. Active Secret clearance or above is required (TS/SCI highly preferred).
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter proficiency for assigned tasks, including process improvement analysis and requirements definition.
- Create and refine front-end engineering deliverables such as:
- Technical design drawings
- Mockups, wireframes, and associated documentation for PMO/stakeholder review
- Develop and optimize GUI functionality, UI elements, and system navigation to improve operator ease of use.
- Support user-facing feature development with a user-centric approach.
- Prepare, conduct, and document system tests and results to verify operability and compliance with project standards.
- Participate in front-end web design/development and broader software development programs/projects.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance or above (TS/SCI highly preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required (Master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience).
- 7+ years experience in the functional area.
- 7+ years software development using object-oriented and scripted languages, with ability to apply tools aligned to DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
- 3+ years bug tracking experience with Jira.
- 3+ years recent front-end web design and development.
- 3+ years testing web-based applications.
- 3+ years participating in software development programs/projects.
- 5+ years experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
- 5+ years with at least five of: Apache Ember, JavaScript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node.js.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Agile, user-centric application design, and best-of-breed UI/UX standards
- Generating wireframes/mockups for multiple user personas
- Preparing/conducting/documenting systems tests for operability and compliance
- Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
- Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile Test-Driven Development.
- Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
- 5+ years with CI/CD software development.
- UX design tool suite experience (e.g., Sketch, InVision).
