Front End Developer – Mid-level

Role Overview

Maximus is hiring a Mid-level Front End Developer for a remote role requiring an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject-matter proficiency for front-end design and development tasks.
• Perform analysis and support process improvement, specialized studies, and requirements definition.
• Create and maintain front-end technical artifacts for PMO and stakeholder review, including:
  • technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and related documentation
• Plan and implement modifications to Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs).
• Construct and optimize UI elements and improve system navigation.
• Facilitate operator ease-of-use for user-facing features.
• Support requirements documentation and functional architecture/modeling.
• Prepare, conduct, and document system tests and results to verify operability and compliance with project standards.
• Develop in a cloud environment and support integration from unclassified to classified deployments.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience).
• 7 years of experience in the functional area.
• 7 years of software development experience using object-oriented and scripted languages; ability to apply tools related to DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
• 3 years working with Jira for bug tracking.
• 3 years recent and relevant front-end web design and development.
• 3 years testing web-based applications.
• 3 years participating in software development programs/projects.
• 5 years with Jenkins and GitLab.
• 5 years with at least five of the following: Apache Ember, JavaScript, Jaguar, Java, Cricket, Node.js.
• Demonstrated experience engaging in Agile, user-centric application design with strong UI/UX standards.
• Demonstrated experience generating wireframes/mockups for multiple user personas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile Test-Driven development.
• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
• 5 years CI/CD software development experience.
• Experience with UX design tool suites such as Sketch and InVision.
