About the role
Role Overview
Mid-level Front End Developer (Front-end design and development) supporting government mission work at Maximus. Remote, contingent upon contract award and position availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter proficiency and analytical skills to support process improvement, studies, and requirements definition.
- Perform front-end engineering tasks including:
- Create technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and UI documentation for PMO/stakeholder review
- Plan and implement modifications to Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs)
- Construct and optimize UI elements
- Optimize system navigation for usability
- Facilitate operator ease-of-use for user-facing features
- Develop functional models, procedures, and functional architecture.
- Support development and testing activities, including preparing/conducting/documenting system tests to verify operability and compliance.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance or above required; Active TS/SCI highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required (Master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience).
- 7 years experience in the functional area.
- 7 years software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages; experience applying tool suites related to DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
- 3 years bug tracking with Jira.
- 3 years recent front-end web design and development.
- 3 years experience testing web-based applications.
- 3 years participating in software development programs/projects.
- 5 years experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
- 5 years experience with at least five of: Apache Ember, React, Angular, JavaScript, Node.js (other listed technologies included in posting).
- Demonstrated Agile, user-centric UI/UX design experience (including wireframes/mockups for multiple user personas).
- Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
- Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Agile Test-Driven development experience.
- Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
- 5 years CI/CD software development experience.
- UX design tool experience (e.g., Sketch, InVision).
