About the role
Role: Front End Developer (Mid-level)
Location: Remote (United States)
Overview
Front-end design and development supporting mission-critical government programs. This role is contingent upon contract award and position availability and requires an active security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Perform front-end engineering tasks for UI design and development, including technical design drawings, mockups, wireframes, and documentation for PMO/stakeholder review.
- Plan and implement modifications to Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs).
- Construct and optimize UI elements and navigation patterns to improve operator/user experience.
- Develop requirements-related artifacts, including analysis, planning, and functional architecture/modeling.
- Support process improvement, specialized studies, and requirements definition.
- Participate in testing by preparing, conducting, and documenting system tests and results to verify operability and compliance.
Requirements
- Security clearance: Active Secret clearance or above (Active TS/SCI highly preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience).
- 7+ years experience in the functional area.
- 7+ years software development experience using object-oriented and scripted languages, with experience applying tool suites related to DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
- 3+ years bug tracking with Jira.
- 3+ years recent and relevant front-end web design and development.
- 3+ years testing web-based applications.
- 3+ years participating in software development programs/projects.
- 5+ years experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
- 5 years with at least five of: Apache Ember, React, Angular, JavaScript, Node.js.
- Agile, user-centric design experience and strong UI/UX standards.
- Experience producing wireframes/mockups across multiple user personas.
- Practical experience developing in a cloud environment.
- Experience integrating data between unclassified and classified application deployments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Agile Test-Driven development.
- Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
- 5+ years CI/CD software development.
- UX design tool experience (e.g., Sketch, InVision).
