Role overview

Front End Developer (Python / React) for a secure, mission-driven environment. You will help modernize legacy Excel-based processes by building responsive web applications and interactive dashboards, collaborating with backend developers to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications
Build modern UIs that replace spreadsheet-based workflows
Integrate frontend applications with FastAPI backend services via REST APIs
Create interactive dashboards and data visualizations for complex financial/business data
Collaborate with backend developers to deliver seamless, scalable solutions
Optimize for performance, usability, and cross-browser compatibility
Contribute across the full stack when needed and help shape frontend architecture

Requirements

Must live in Maryland
Sole U.S. Citizenship required (no exceptions)
Public Trust Clearance or higher
Strong Python programming experience
Experience with React (also mentions Vue/Angular)
Solid understanding of RESTful API integration
Experience building data-intensive web applications
Knowledge of responsive design and modern UI best practices
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-haves

Financial or analytical data visualization experience
Familiarity with FastAPI or other Python web frameworks
Experience with spreadsheet-like UI components or advanced data grids
