Role Overview

LMI is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to support a government healthcare client. You will collaborate with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to build responsive, accessible, high-performance web interfaces. The role may be remote.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product stakeholders to implement user-centered front-end features
  • Write clean, maintainable, efficient code using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Build with accessibility in mind, following WCAG 2.1 and accessibility best practices
  • Optimize front-end performance for smooth desktop and mobile interactions
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and implement responsive design
  • Perform thorough testing and debugging, contributing to unit and integration tests
  • Participate in peer code reviews with constructive feedback
  • Partner with stakeholders on requirements, planning, estimation, and delivery
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Use AI-powered development tools (e.g., autocompletion, debugging assistants, automated testing frameworks) to improve efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional front-end development experience (or equivalent hands-on experience) and a STEM bachelor’s degree (or relevant experience)
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks/libraries: Vue, React, and/or Angular (including ecosystems such as Redux, Vuex, React Query)
  • Experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL
  • Experience deploying applications to cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
  • Proven expertise building responsive applications with cross-browser compatibility
  • Proficiency with Git and/or Bitbucket
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum teams
  • DevOps practices experience, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments

Desired Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of federal security, privacy, and compliance standards such as FISMA, HIPAA, or FedRAMP
