About the role
Role Overview
Senior Full Stack Engineer focused on leading the development and maintenance of a core React-based UI component library for the Lucid website.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain a React UI component library for marketing pages, authenticated portals, and checkout flows
- Design scalable component APIs compatible with Gatsby, Astro, and Next.js applications
- Establish and enforce design patterns, coding standards, and best practices
- Create documentation and developer usage guidelines to drive adoption
- Maintain Storybook docs, including interactive component playgrounds
- Implement automated testing (unit, integration, and visual regression)
- Manage semantic versioning and release processes for component updates
- Build developer tools/CLI utilities to streamline component adoption
- Develop content-driven components integrating with Contentful CMS
- Collaborate with content teams on component schemas and content modeling
- Support migration from legacy systems to modern frameworks with minimal disruption and strong performance
Requirements
- 6+ years of full-stack development with strong focus on the React ecosystem
- Proven experience building and maintaining component libraries/design systems
- Strong understanding of React patterns, hooks, context, and performance optimization
- Experience with Next.js and modern rendering approaches (SSR/SSG)
- Hands-on with build tools such as Webpack or Vite
- AWS experience including CloudFront, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch
- CI/CD experience (preferably GitLab CI) for automated deployment/testing
- Experience with npm publishing and monorepo architectures
- Testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright
- Familiarity with Contentful CMS
- Understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with modern GenAI tooling (e.g., Copilot, chat agents, IDE assistants)
