Role Overview
Front End Developer (hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner) focused on building web-based interfaces for operational tools and capability management systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop web-based user interfaces for operational tools and capability management systems
- Create visualization dashboards that present complex technical data in operator-friendly formats
- Conduct user research with operators to identify workflow pain points and interface requirements
- Build responsive and accessible web applications optimized for operational environment constraints
- Integrate front-end applications with back-end APIs, data pipelines, and capability infrastructure
- Implement real-time data visualization for operational status, system health, and mission telemetry
- Develop interface components that streamline operator workflows during mission execution
Requirements
- Equivalent education/experience combination:
- Bachelor’s + 4+ years, OR
- High School/GED + 8+ years, OR
- Associate’s + 6+ years, OR
- Master’s + 2+ years, OR
- PhD + 0+ years with progressively responsible experience
- 3+ years of professional front-end development experience
- Expert proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, or similar)
- RESTful API integration and asynchronous data handling
- Data visualization library proficiency (D3.js, Plotly, Chart.js, or similar)
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Nice to Have
- Experience delivering real-time operational dashboards and mission telemetry visualizations
- Experience collaborating in teams with exposure to real-time visualization and complex technical data
Logistics
- CONUS travel up to 25% may be required
