About the role

Role overview

Senior Front-end Software Developer (Java + Angular) serving as a Technical Lead / Team Lead for enterprise-scale applications at the EEOC. The position is fully remote and involves both hands-on development and team leadership.

Responsibilities

Build and code application modules using modern web and backend technologies.
Maintain and modify existing enterprise software applications.
Participate in planning for system and deployment activities and ensure software compliance standards.
Design and implement UI components and modules to meet user needs.
Perform end-to-end delivery across requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
Lead code reviews and help enforce standards/specifications.
Write/revise program and operations documentation, and user guides.
Troubleshoot by analyzing system factors (inputs/outputs, data flow, hardware/software requirements, alternative solutions).
Lead deployments and support operational programs/procedures.

Requirements

10+ years of full stack development experience (Spring Boot + Angular).
10+ years professional software development experience.
Proven track record as a Technical Lead / Team Lead delivering enterprise-scale applications.
End-to-end project ownership: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
Strong Angular skills (Angular 12+), TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx.
Expertise in building modular, scalable, responsive SPA applications.
Solid UI/UX best practices, component libraries, and state management.

Nice-to-haves / Additional skills

Backend/data: advanced SQL and RDBMS experience (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL); NoSQL exposure (MongoDB, Redis); ORM (Hibernate/JPA).
DevOps/cloud: CI/CD with Jenkins/GitLab/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps; Docker/Kubernetes; cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP); monitoring/logging (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
Testing: TDD/BDD; JUnit/Mockito/Testcontainers; frontend testing (Jasmine/Karma, Cypress); SonarQube.
Agile/Scrum: strong Agile/Scrum delivery and participation; tools like Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps.
Leadership: mentor/lead 5–10+ engineers, drive architecture decisions, resolve conflicts, and communicate with stakeholders.
