Front End Developer

Role Overview

Front End Developer focused on building and maintaining modern user interfaces using JavaScript, React, and React Native within the broader React ecosystem. You’ll implement features, refactor code, write tests, and fix bugs while collaborating with distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new front-end features and custom components using JavaScript, React, and React Native
• Maintain and enhance existing systems by troubleshooting and resolving bugs
• Refactor front-end code to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability
• Maintain and update dependencies, including Node.js and NPM/Yarn package management
• Collaborate with other JavaScript/software engineers to design scalable front-end architectures using best practices
• Write and maintain tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions
• Apply core React fundamentals (components, hooks, lifecycle methods)
• Contribute to front-end best practices and improve team development workflows

Requirements (Essential)

• 3–5 years of verifiable front-end web experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for responsive UI development
• Practical React experience
• Experience with React ecosystem tooling: Node.js and NPM or Yarn
• Ability to design and build custom front-end components
• Experience debugging, bug fixing, and refactoring existing codebases
• Bachelor’s degree or developer boot camp (or equivalent non-industry experience)

Nice to Have (Additional)

• Knowledge of React Native for cross-platform mobile apps
• Familiarity with common React ecosystem libraries and tools
• Experience with front-end development best practices and patterns
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment

• 100% remote collaboration with a distributed team using virtual communication and code review practices.

Compensation

• $30.00–$38.00/hr
