Role Overview

Magnet Forensics is hiring a Front-End Architect to provide hands-on technical leadership for building and unifying their SaaS frontend platform. You’ll design the architectural foundation for how multiple products are delivered as a single, scalable application, with a strong focus on developer experience, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

Own frontend architecture: design reusable UI frameworks, establish frontend patterns, and shape the foundation for multiple SaaS products.
Be a builder: prototype ideas, ship code, modernize legacy codebases, and prove out new patterns.
Lead and mentor: guide engineering teams toward better practices, tooling, and patterns; evangelize improvements at scale.
Collaborate cross-functionally: work closely with Senior Engineers, Product Managers, and UX Designers to deliver cohesive user experiences.
Enable faster delivery: help product teams ship faster, safer, and more consistent customer experiences.

Requirements

8+ years of professional frontend development, with deep expertise in one or more major frameworks (React, Vue) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
4+ years shipping pragmatic SaaS solutions to production, balancing technical vision with delivery on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong mentorship and leadership skills; able to guide and challenge senior developers.
Clear communication: explain tradeoffs, document patterns, and build trust across Engineering, Product, and UX.
Hands-on leadership: comfortable prototyping and scaling patterns through mentorship and evangelism.
Bachelor’s degree in a CS-related field or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-haves

Experience designing extensible frontend architectures (e.g., modular React apps, micro frontends, plugin systems).
Familiarity with additional frontend stack tools/libraries: MUI, Vite, TanStack, Emotion.
Experience beyond frontend, e.g., AWS, Docker, Grafana, AzDO, and improving frontend DX (faster local dev loops, tooling) and observability.
Mentioned: feature flagging experience.
