Front-End Application Developer

Role overview

Valiant Solutions is seeking a Front-End Focused Application Developer to join an Agile software development team supporting a Federal Government client focused on environmental sustainability. You will help develop and maintain information systems for tracking and reporting environmental data.

This role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the Agile SDLC (planning, design, development, testing, deployment)
• Work with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver software applications
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Follow software engineering best practices so code is maintainable, scalable, and testable
• Contribute to and maintain technical documentation (design docs, user manuals, release notes)
• Support a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend tools/techniques to improve delivery
• Apply UX/UI principles in the development process

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer, with strong emphasis on front-end work
• Deep proficiency in TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks such as React (or Angular)
• Familiarity with Node.js and willingness to contribute to back-end work as needed
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• PostgreSQL experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture patterns (plus)
• Practical experience with Agile / Scrum / Kanban
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
