About the role
Role: Fresher Java Developer (Remote)
Join Joveo to start your engineering career on Java-powered backend systems. You’ll ship real services and learn production Java development while contributing to a codebase handling millions of daily transactions.
Responsibilities
- Write Java code for backend microservices and APIs with senior guidance
- Learn Spring Boot and modern Java engineering practices in a production environment
- Fix bugs, add unit tests, and participate in feature development
- Contribute to code reviews and learn from reviewing others’ code
- Build foundational knowledge of databases, APIs, and distributed systems
- Grow through mentorship, 1:1s, and structured project ownership
Requirements
- Recent graduate or up to 1 year of Java development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
- Solid Java fundamentals: OOP, collections, exception handling
- Familiarity with Spring / Spring Boot or similar Java frameworks
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
