Freelance Mobile App Developer (iOS / Android)

Role Overview

Freelance Mobile App Developer for the Tendem project (Tendem.ai). Build and refine native and cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android, using native or cross-platform frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate mobile applications for iOS, Android, or both (utilities, fitness/wellness, games, productivity, delivery, content)
• Build mobile apps using React Native, Flutter, Swift (iOS), or Kotlin (Android)
• Implement responsive UIs that follow platform conventions (iOS HIG, Material Design)
• Integrate native device capabilities (camera, push notifications, location, storage, biometrics)
• Connect to backend APIs; handle offline state, caching, and synchronization
• Implement monetization features as needed (in-app purchases, ads, subscriptions)
• Debug, optimize, and refactor code for correctness, performance, battery efficiency, and maintainability
• Resolve platform-specific issues and prepare builds for distribution (TestFlight, Play Console)

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant mobile app development experience (required)
• Hands-on experience with at least one of:
  • React Native
  • Flutter
  • Swift / SwiftUI (iOS)
  • Kotlin / Jetpack Compose (Android)
• Strong knowledge of mobile UI patterns, navigation, state management, and platform guidelines
• Experience integrating REST APIs, handling async data, and managing local storage
• Familiarity with mobile build/release practices (code signing, App Store / Google Play submission)
• Portfolio of shipped mobile apps (required; App Store / Google Play links preferred)
• English proficiency B2 or above (required)

Nice to Have

• Experience with monetization (in-app purchases, ads, subscriptions)
• Familiarity with backend services such as Firebase or Supabase
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a related technical field
