Role overview

Freelance Marketing Web Developer (WordPress) (1099 Independent Contractor)

  • Part-time contract role: ~10–15 hours/week
  • Start: immediately after application review and a short interview
  • You’ll be the go-to person for marketing website needs—launching pages for campaigns, fixing broken forms, and supporting website refreshes.

Responsibilities

Site build & maintenance

  • Build and launch new WordPress pages using Elementor, following existing design patterns and brand standards
  • Maintain site health: plugin/theme updates, performance checks, backups, and general upkeep
  • Work in staging environments and follow rollback/ship processes
  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs, broken layouts, and functionality issues

UI/UX & conversion support

  • Identify and fix UI/UX issues that impact traffic acquisition or conversion
  • Partner with marketing to implement design/layout changes to improve on-page conversion rates
  • Apply responsive design practices and perform cross-browser/device testing

Marketing integrations

  • Support HubSpot-connected forms and landing pages (submissions, tracking, routing)
  • Troubleshoot WordPress ↔ HubSpot integration issues
  • Help set up/maintain campaign landing pages, including occasional work in Unbounce

Requirements

  • Strong UI/UX sense and ability to translate designs into clean, intuitive, user-friendly pages
  • Comfortable working independently as a remote contractor
  • Responsive, reliable, and proactive with communication

Compensation & logistics

  • $30–$35/hour depending on directly related experience/credentials
  • Contractors handle their own taxes, insurance, expenses, and required tools/equipment
  • Regular electronic invoices submitted per the Independent Contractor Agreement
