Freelance Full-Stack Web App Developer

Role Overview

Freelance Full-Stack Web App Developer (Mindrift’s “AI Pilot” role) for the Tendem project. You’ll design, build, and refine interactive, browser-based web applications end-to-end, including frontend logic, backend APIs, persistence, and quality control—while collaborating with AI agents for repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Build interactive web apps with modern frontend frameworks and backend APIs.
• Design and implement data models/schemas and persistence layers using SQL or NoSQL.
• Implement authentication, sessions, and basic role-based access when needed.
• Integrate third-party APIs and LLM/AI services into product features.
• Manage frontend state, input validation, error/loading states, and overall UX robustness.
• Create standalone Python tools/scripts for required data processing and utilities.
• Review AI-generated full-stack code and refactor for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Write clear, testable code and debug issues across frontend, backend, and database.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-stack web development experience shipping interactive web applications (required).
• Strong foundation across frontend frameworks, backend architecture, databases, and end-to-end product delivery.
• Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework (React/Next.js/Vue/Svelte or similar).
• Solid backend experience in Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django) and/or Node.js (Express/NestJS).
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQLite) and basic schema design.
• Experience with REST APIs, request validation, error handling, and authentication flows.
• Familiarity with deployment platforms (e.g., Vercel, Netlify, Render, Fly.io, Railway).
• Comfortable with Git and basic testing practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to independently architect and ship complete features.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) into products.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field.
