Freelance App Developer - AI Trainer

Role overview

Freelance App Developer (AI Trainer) for DataAnnotation’s coding team. You’ll help advance AI development by completing and evaluating programming tasks, including building Android-focused apps and providing clear explanations that improve model training.

Responsibilities

• Design and solve diverse coding problems used to train AI systems (with an emphasis on Android development)
• Write clear, high-quality code snippets and detailed explanations
• Evaluate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and clarity
• Provide feedback that directly influences the next generation of AI models

Requirements

• Native or bilingual English fluency
• Excellent writing and grammar skills
• Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress
• Preferred: previous experience as a Software Developer / Coder / Software Engineer / Programmer

Preferred qualifications

• Kotlin experience
• Proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C++, C#, React, Go, Java, Swift

Compensation & logistics

• Fully remote with a flexible schedule (choose projects and when you work)
• Hourly pay starting at $50–$100+/hr; higher-paying projects may be available with strong performance
• Payments via PayPal (no money required from candidates)
