Founding Software Engineer (EQUITY ONLY)

Role Overview

Founding Software Engineer (Equity Only) at SideKix. This is a hands-on founding role in an early-stage environment where you own technical execution and help shape product and engineering culture.

Location/Eligibility: Remote (U.S. only). Must be located in the United States and be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product/design/engineering leadership on product vision and execution.
• Develop and scale Flutter applications for Android and Web, delivering pixel-perfect work from Figma designs.
• Refactor and modernize the existing Flutter codebase to improve architecture, performance, and maintainability.
• Build and maintain backend integrations, APIs, authentication, AI features, payment systems, and cloud services.
• Own testing, CI/CD, release management, monitoring, and performance optimization for reliable deployments.
• Use analytics and user feedback to improve the product after launch.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and help establish engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience building, shipping, and iterating on production software.
• Strong experience with Flutter for mobile and web, plus APIs and modern cloud services.
• Experience designing scalable application architecture and maintainable systems.
• Founder mindset: ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to bridge technical execution and product strategy.
• Experience managing releases, deployments, app store submissions, testing, and ongoing product improvements.
• Passion for AI-driven personalization, thoughtful UX, and human-centered design.
• Familiarity with Figma, analytics, monitoring, and modern development workflows.

Nice to Have

• Experience building products for small businesses, creators, education, or community-driven platforms.
