About the role

Role Overview

Founding Product Designer at SyntheticFi (remote, full-time). You’ll work directly with the co-founders with broad scope across Product and UX design—and you will help set product direction since the company does not have PMs.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Co-Founders and Product Engineers to define product direction.
  • Ask sharp questions to understand user workflows and underlying business logic.
  • Identify what truly needs to be solved before jumping into design.
  • Conduct and synthesize user conversations to solve customer needs.
  • Deliver high-polish UI/UX across a product with both B2B and B2C elements.
  • Tackle complex, non-trivial UX problems for a sophisticated financial product.
  • Push the envelope on design standards in an industry without clear existing parallels.

Requirements

  • Product Designer experience, demonstrated via a portfolio.
  • Experience designing web applications, including reasoning about complex B2B workflows.
  • Proficiency with Figma.
  • Experience building or significantly contributing to a design system.
  • Must be based in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $120K–$175K
  • Equity: 0.25%–1.0%
  • Full benefits including 100% paid employee health plans and employer-funded 401(k) match (plus dental/vision).

Nice-to-haves (implicit)

  • Familiarity with US financial products and consumer-grade UX expectations for demanding retail users.
