Founding Product Designer ($120K - $175K + Equity) at SyntheticFi

Role Overview

As the first design hire (Founding Product Designer) at SyntheticFi, you will own end-to-end product design for a complex fintech platform. You’ll translate intricate financial mechanics into intuitive B2B advisor and B2C client experiences, while building the company’s design system from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Partner with co-founders and product engineers to set product direction.
• Conduct user research to clarify complex workflows and technical business logic.
• Design and iterate across B2B dashboards and B2C experiences, ensuring a high level of polish for data-dense interfaces.
• Build and maintain SyntheticFi’s foundational design system (patterns, standards, and digital brand identity).

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in complex B2B/fintech, data-heavy, or enterprise software.
• Strong mastery of Figma.
• Proven ability to create comprehensive design systems bridging creative vision and technical implementation.
• Strong problem-framing skills and high visual design standards.
• Comfortable leading in an ambiguous, fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Haves

• Experience designing fintech workflows and institutional-grade data experiences (implied by requirements).
