Role: Founding Head of Product

A founding, exec-level product leadership role at Heim, creating the company’s product roadmap and shaping how healthcare is accessed at home using an AI layer.

Mission

• Redefine healthcare access by making home the default place for patients to receive care.
• Turn increasing demand from NHS community teams into category-defining product growth.

What you will own

• Define Heim’s product roadmap and product direction, execution, and standards (not execution of someone else’s spec).
• Work closely with founders, the Medical Director, and product engineers to decide what Heim becomes.
• Set and drive an AI-native product strategy, including how to ship agentic systems safely and how to structure AI-native product teams.
• Maintain clarity and accountability across the organisation as demand grows rapidly.
• Stay close to frontline community nursing reality to identify high-impact improvements early.
• Take ultimate responsibility for quality and continuous improvement of the tech stack.

What you will bring

• 6–8+ years in product and/or engineering leadership, ideally from startup/scale-up environments.
• Proven ability to own and ship complex products end-to-end (discovery → production), preferably in high-stakes domains.
• Strong technical depth: can read and challenge a codebase; engineers view you as an outstanding product partner.
• AI fluency: experience shipping agentic or conversational AI systems, with a focus on safe behavior, failures, and iteration.
• Extreme ownership and low ego, with judgment to move fast where clinical safety matters.
• First-principles mindset to find simple answers to complex customer problems.
