Founding Chief of Staff

Role Overview

The Founding Chief of Staff is a high-agency operator role and a force multiplier for BioRadar’s founding team. You will partner directly with the founders to turn strategy into action across operations, fundraising, hiring, strategic partnerships, and internal execution—building an operating cadence and stepping into critical work wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Strategic planning & operating cadence: Build the company’s scalable rhythm and execution structure.
• Cross-functional execution: Drive company priorities forward across teams.
• Fundraising support: Assist with investor communications, diligence support, and board materials.
• Recruiting coordination: Coordinate recruiting efforts and key hiring initiatives.
• Partner & government relationships: Support government and strategic partner relationship management.
• Executive communications & decision support: Create briefings/materials and support founder decision-making.
• Internal communications & org effectiveness: Shape culture, internal alignment, and organizational effectiveness.
• Leverage modern AI tools: Use AI to accelerate research, writing, planning, and execution.

What Success Looks Like (First Year)

• Establish a scalable operating rhythm for the company.
• Coordinate fundraising efforts and investor diligence.
• Support pilot programs and strategic partnerships.
• Help recruit exceptional early employees.
• Become the founders’ trusted execution partner.

Requirements

• 4–8 years experience in consulting, government, national security, operations, strategy, or a high-growth startup.
• High agency, strong organization, and exceptional communication.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity; able to create structure without adding bureaucracy.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience as Chief of Staff or Strategy & Operations leader.
• Familiarity with AI, biotech, public health, or national security.

Logistics

• Based in Boston, MA preferred; remote may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Open to full-time or part-time arrangements; schedule is secondary to finding the right person.
