Role: Food Delivery Driver

Join the delivery team as a dependable, customer-focused driver responsible for picking up food orders and delivering them safely, accurately, and on time.

What you’ll do

• Order Pickup & Delivery: Pick up orders from local restaurants/partner eateries, verify order accuracy before leaving, and deliver safely in excellent condition.
• Customer Service: Represent the company professionally; greet customers warmly, follow special delivery instructions, and create a positive delivery experience.
• Route Navigation: Use GPS/navigation apps (e.g., Google Maps/Waze) to plan efficient routes and adapt to traffic, closures, and weather.
• Order Accuracy: Check order contents against receipts; promptly communicate with dispatch/restaurant staff to resolve discrepancies or missing items.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Keep your vehicle clean, safe, and roadworthy; complete basic pre-shift checks (fuel, tires, lights) and report issues.
• Payment Handling: Process payments/tips and delivery confirmations through the company delivery app; maintain accurate delivery and payment records.
• Communication: Provide clear updates to dispatch, restaurant partners, and customers (status, ETA, and issues/delays).
• Compliance & Safety: Follow local traffic laws and company driving policies; follow food safety/handling guidelines and deliver at correct temperature.
• Reporting: At shift end, report delivery completions, mileage, fuel expenses, and incidents/complaints using the company reporting system.

What we’re looking for

• Age: 18+ (21+ for alcohol delivery where applicable)
• License & driving record: Valid driver’s license with a clean record; no major violations or DUI/DWI convictions in the past 3 years
• Vehicle: Reliable personal vehicle (car/scooter/bicycle depending on zone) with proof of insurance and current registration
• Navigation skills: Comfortable with GPS/navigation apps; local knowledge is a plus
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs; handle stairs/apartment buildings in all weather
• Customer focus: Friendly and professional; able to handle complaints calmly
• Time management: Efficiently manage deliveries and meet delivery targets
• Smartphone proficiency: Comfortable using a smartphone and delivery app to manage orders
