Flutter Developer

Role Overview

Kellton is seeking a Flutter Developer for a long-term hybrid contract in Charlotte, NC. You will design, develop, and maintain high-quality cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile apps using Flutter and Dart
• Build responsive, reusable, efficient UI components
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product managers
• Integrate RESTful APIs, Firebase, and third-party services
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance
• Implement state management using Provider, Riverpod, Bloc, or GetX
• Perform unit, widget, and integration testing
• Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices
• Publish and maintain apps on Google Play Store and Apple App Store
• Stay current with Flutter updates and emerging mobile technologies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of Flutter development experience
• Strong Dart skills
• Experience with Android and/or iOS development
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP
• Experience with Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics)
• Familiarity with Git and version control
• Understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles
• Experience with local databases such as SQLite or Hive

Preferred Qualifications

• Native development experience: Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with payment gateway integration
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
• Experience integrating maps, notifications, and location services
