About the role

Role Overview

Halen is seeking a Senior Flutter Developer to help finish development and launch its Super-App. The role is remote / Philadelphia, PA and is part-time to full-time, with a hard ~3-month launch deadline for a pilot in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

Backend & Frontend Wiring: Connect core backend microservices to the Flutter apps (Customer App and Driver Portal).
Third-Party Integrations: Integrate and maintain key APIs/SDKs including:
- Google Fleet Engine
- Stripe (payments)
- Checkr (background checks)
- Custom/dynamic pricing calculation engines
Real-time Features: Implement and optimize real-time location tracking, heatmaps, and live driver/status updates for admin dashboards.
Cross-Platform Deployment: Build, manage, and deploy releases to:
- iOS (App Store Connect)
- Android (Google Play Console)
Performance Tuning: Optimize UI rendering, state management, and network calls for smooth performance under high load.

Requirements

Proven Flutter track record shipping and scaling apps to both iOS and Android.
Strong Dart expertise and solid knowledge of Flutter architecture.
Experience with state management (e.g., Bloc, Provider, Riverpod), clean architecture, and asynchronous programming.
Heavy experience integrating payments (Stripe), verification (Checkr), and maps/fleet SDKs (Google Maps / Fleet Engine).
Production deployment knowledge including TestFlight, Google Play Beta, push notifications, and App Store guidelines.
Ability to operate with ownership and urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Based in or familiar with the Philadelphia market.
Experience with super-apps, ride-share, food delivery, or logistics platforms.
Experience deploying Flutter Web dashboards or working with React/Vue.
