Role Overview

You will join Herbalife as a Mobile Innovation Engineer, building and scaling next-generation mobile solutions. The role blends product discovery, platform evolution, and technical experimentation to turn ideas into validated, high-impact mobile applications in a high-ambiguity environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers, designers, data analysts, and backend engineers to frame problems and translate ideas into testable hypotheses.
• Lead discovery sprints, feasibility studies, and technical spikes to explore new mobile architectures and approaches.
• Build rapid prototypes and instrument them with analytics to measure user value and technical feasibility.
• Validate hypotheses using data-driven experiments, including:
  • A/B testing
  • Feature flag deployments
• Transition validated concepts into scalable production systems.
• Influence architectural decisions, platform strategy, and development practices to ensure mobile solutions are both maintainable and secure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Flutter (listed as a framework), and also strong native experience:
  • Swift/SwiftUI for iOS
  • Kotlin for Android
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and Clean Architecture.
• Experience with API integration.
• Expertise in mobile lifecycle management, memory management, diagnostics, and performance optimization.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work with evolving requirements.

Nice to Have

• Mobile analytics experience with Firebase and/or Crashlytics.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to mobile security protocols.
• Interest in emerging tech such as AI-enabled UX, AR, sensors, or wearables.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field (advanced degree/certifications a plus).
