About the role
Role overview
Join Abnormal AI as a Financial Analyst (Marketing), serving as a key financial partner to the Marketing team. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to optimize marketing investments and support strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for marketing headcount and operational expenses.
- Analyze complex datasets to build scalable reporting for Marketing month-end close.
- Perform Budget-vs-Actuals variance analysis and deliver insight-driven forecasting.
- Build scenario-based financial models to evaluate marketing investment, ROI, and performance trends.
- Provide data-backed recommendations to senior leadership.
- Leverage analytics and automation tools to drive efficiency (including hands-on use of Pigment for planning).
Requirements
- 2–4 years FP&A experience (ideally including GTM Finance).
- Strong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Experience partnering with Marketing or GTM teams.
- Ability to influence senior executives with clear, data-driven recommendations.
- Familiarity with AI/automation and financial analytics tools.
- Self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Nice to haves
- Advanced degree(s) and/or certifications.
- Experience in startups or similarly fast-moving environments.
- Cybersecurity and SaaS industry knowledge.
- Passion for AI.
- Hands-on experience with Pigment planning tool.
