Financial Analyst, Go to Market (GTM) FP&A - (West)

Role Overview

Smartsheet is hiring a Financial Analyst, Go to Market (GTM) FP&A to support decision-making for Go to Market Sales. This is a high-visibility, remote-eligible role that oversees FP&A rhythms, drives forecasting and budgeting processes, and partners cross-functionally to improve growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily FP&A rhythms for supported areas across GTM Sales and Finance to promote functional excellence and top-line growth
• Contribute to annual planning and quarterly forecasting, including variance analysis cycles
• Partner with GTM Sales to align resource allocation with budget and financial targets; improve forecast accuracy and accountability
• Become the subject matter expert on sales org structures and reporting
• Partner with Revenue Operations to drive alignment and outcomes within Sales organizations
• Collaborate across GTM, Finance, and Business Intelligence to identify insights that increase growth and improve profitability; communicate findings and help implement recommendations
• Develop and refine models/frameworks, including:
  • Bookings (product & services)
  • Rep Productivity
  • Commissions
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and create presentations to guide decisions and support partner needs
• Oversee month-end close activities and maintain accuracy of financial reporting with Accounting

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive experience in Finance/FP&A with demonstrated growth
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics (preferred)
• Exposure to SaaS subscription business models and associated KPIs
• Strong financial modeling and analysis skills (financial statements, cash flow analysis, and reporting)
• Ability to create clear visual representations of financial/statistical data and communicate the story
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable facilitating discussions with leaders
• Strong curiosity for leveraging systems and data/BI to improve processes

Nice to Have

• Experience with NetSuite
• Experience with planning applications such as Planful, Adaptive Insights, or Anaplan
