Role Overview

Deal Desk Analyst (Finance/Commercial)

• Remote contract role supporting a fast-moving technology business.
• Focus on commercial judgment, structuring nonstandard deals, and strengthening quote-to-cash and pricing decisions amid ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Review complex commercial opportunities and provide financial guidance for sound business decisions.
• Shape pricing, contract, and deal terms by balancing revenue goals, risk considerations, and operational feasibility.
• Partner with sales, finance, and cross-functional stakeholders to manage nonstandard requests and prioritize urgent needs.
• Support quote-to-cash activities, including CPQ workflows, pricing accuracy, and deal approvals.
• Build financial analyses and models to assess profitability, investment value, and transaction outcomes.
• Ensure reliable execution in environments relying on manual workflows, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Create reporting and decision-support materials covering pipeline trends, deal performance, and key financial impacts.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in finance, commercial finance, deal desk, or a closely related business partnering role.
• Strong background in commercial deal support: pricing strategy, contract review, and deal structuring.
• Experience with CPQ tools and quote-to-cash processes in a business-facing context.
• Proven ability to operate in early-stage startup or high-growth environments with changing priorities.
• Comfortable handling detailed financial work in processes with manual steps and limited structure.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to evaluate ambiguous/nonstandard requests and recommend practical solutions.

Pay & Work Setup

• Expected pay: $50–$65/hr (DOE)
• 100% remote
