About the role

Role Overview

Finance Manager for R&D Development supporting a leader in Pharmaceuticals & Biotech. The role strengthens forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning to guide business decisions, partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Location: Remote (US-based candidates only; no visa sponsorship)

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) for operating expenses and headcount
  • Provide decision support for strategic capital investments and workforce planning
  • Identify and implement cost savings and operational efficiencies with stakeholders
  • Serve as a finance partner to Development and Oncology leadership
  • Support the accounting close process, including variance analysis and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and GAAP standards
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects with cross-functional collaboration
  • Identify, lead, and implement process improvements and automation opportunities

Requirements

  • Education/work experience combination (Doctorate OR Master’s + 2 years OR Bachelor’s + 4 years OR Associate’s + 8 years OR High School + 10 years of Finance experience)
  • 5+ years corporate finance experience, focusing on FP&A and/or accounting
  • Strong analytical/quantitative skills and solid grasp of finance/accounting principles
  • Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders
  • Familiarity with financial systems and automation tools such as SAP and Hyperion, plus Microsoft Office
  • Experience presenting financial insights to senior leadership (desired)
  • Pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

  • $100,630 – $136,146 annually
