About Accelerating Appalachia

Accelerating Appalachia (ACAP) is a nonprofit founded in 2013 that builds networks of regenerative agriculture across an eight-state southeastern region. It supports historically underserved producers by connecting them with technical assistance, financial resources, and market opportunities, and it also supports growth-stage regenerative companies in food, fiber, and forest products. ACAP’s work includes grant-funded programs such as BAAR (Building Appalachian Agricultural Resilience), which incentivizes regenerative practices.
