Finance Analytics & Enablement Lead (AI/ML)

Role Overview

Finance Analytics & Enablement Lead (AI/ML) at Hopper, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. You will lead finance data and AI enablement strategy across the organization, owning the data warehouse and driving actionable finance insights.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the data warehouse strategy, governance, and execution for the finance ledger.
• Deliver actionable insights from finance and data analytics to drive business decisions.
• Create, own, implement, and track the success of a Finance AI automation roadmap in partnership with FP&A, accounting, and data teams.
• Establish internal controls for data governance.
• Serve as a key business partner to senior leadership and manage a team of engineers and finance managers.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in travel and/or SaaS.
• Engineering background preferred.
• Strong understanding of LLM-based systems, including prompt design and AI model evaluation frameworks.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks and observability tools (e.g., Amplitude, Datadog, Looker) to assess reliability and performance.
• Strong data reconciliation skills across large, multi-source datasets.
• Clear communication skills with senior leadership and external partners.
• Bias toward first-principles thinking, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to build from scratch.
• Hands-on coding ability with SQL and Python; working fluency in GCP and data science.
• Cross-functional experience with data engineering / warehouse teams.
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s strongly preferred or equivalent).
