About the role
Role Overview
Field Marketing Manager (Conferences & Trade Shows) to lead the planning and execution of the conference and trade show portfolio. Own the full event lifecycle—from sponsorship evaluation and pre-event strategy to onsite execution, lead follow-up, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute conferences and trade shows end-to-end, including logistics and onsite operations
- Define event objectives, audience strategies, activation plans, timelines, budgets, and success metrics
- Measure and report event performance against defined KPIs
- Collaborate with sales, executives, partners, speakers, and external stakeholders to align events with business priorities
- Manage budgets, contracts, vendors, agencies, and production partners
- Support lead follow-up and performance reporting (including attribution/pipeline outcomes)
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, or B2B field marketing programs
- Strong understanding of how events drive brand awareness, thought leadership, pipeline creation, and opportunity acceleration
- Willingness to travel ~30–40% for onsite execution (including occasional evenings/weekends)
- Exceptional project management, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven success leading complex, high-visibility events from strategy through execution
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and overlapping deadlines
- Experience managing budgets and working with vendors/agencies/production partners
- Ability to lift, move, and transport event materials/equipment up to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Comfort using CRM, marketing automation, project management, and event technology platforms
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, accounting/audit/risk, or professional services
- Experience with attribution, pipeline reporting, lead management, and event ROI analysis
- Experience managing national/international conference portfolios
- Experience developing executive experiences, customer events, and partner activations alongside major conferences
