Role overview

Seeking a Facilities Planner to support the Indo-Pacific region, leading facility project planning, data analysis, and multi-stakeholder collaboration for military and OCONUS installations. You’ll contribute to mission success by helping maintain and plan government infrastructure and developing recommendations from beginning to end with senior leadership.

What you’ll work on

• Analyze, formulate, and recommend facility standards, design/space criteria, and usage via space utilization studies and forecasts.
• Lead facility planning and management analyses and solution development.
• Manage and optimize cost, schedule, risk, and resources for facility planning activities.
• Prepare and/or review facilities estimates and site proposals for cost and feasibility.
• Partner with clients to develop plans/programs for current and anticipated portfolio and space requirements.
• Recommend planning, design, and construction standards and milestones.
• Use computer-based facilities management software to develop creative solutions for mission-critical projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience planning, coordinating, and managing MILCON (Military Construction) and UMC (Unspecified Minor Construction), including understanding processes through the Project Objective Memorandum (POM).
• 2+ years demonstrating and communicating with installations on MILCON/UMC planning concepts, principles, techniques, and practices.
• 2+ years conducting data analysis and making recommendations for facilities planning and data-informed refinement during the POM cycle.
• 2+ years experience working in the Pacific Region.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for complex data models, formal studies, and executive briefings.
• Knowledge of master planning/installation/facilities planning and FSRM (Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization) or equivalent civilian community planning.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Nice to have

• Experience with military planning or OCONUS Facility Planning.
• Experience with Lean improvement, planning, data analysis, or management.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive staff-level planning to coordinate/validate multi-stakeholder requirements.
• Experience identifying facility-related needs/resources/problems and providing analytical assistance to leaders.
• Ability to work independently with limited guidelines to interpret and apply policies and guides.
