About the role

Role overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you will help build and maintain blockchain networks and protocols. You’ll improve existing infrastructure with a focus on security, automation, and monitoring, and work on new blockchain protocols by running testnets and building scalable, secure infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Build secure, reliable infrastructure to monitor, detect, and mitigate performance and security issues
Perform Linux system administration for server infrastructure (proactive health, stability, and availability management)
Create and maintain procedural and technical documentation
Stay current with and apply peer-to-peer networking security best practices
Develop, maintain, and communicate threat models and risk assessments for systems in operation

Requirements

Experience as a DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure Engineer
Ability to program in one or more of: Python, Go, Bash, JavaScript
Experience managing high-availability server infrastructure
Designed secure networks/systems/application architectures
Set up and maintained software in data centers and cloud environments
Deep understanding of sockets, the full networking stack, and Linux security
Knowledge of automation and CI/CD tooling/processes
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (and other cloud deployment technologies)
Comfortable with ambiguity, teamwork, and taking initiative

Nice to have

Understanding of the blockchain space and blockchain technology
Knowledge of cryptography and security best practices
Open source contributions
