About the role
Role Overview
Expeditionary Product Owner at Nooks, leading product expansion for initiatives that don’t fit into a permanent floor plan. You act as the lead Product Manager for “going to the customer,” turning ambiguous, early opportunities into repeatable, secure, revenue-generating products.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the “Mobile” Vision:
- Lead end-to-end strategy and execution for Mobile SCIFs, expeditionary kits, and classified event environments.
- Ensure offerings are both operationally secure and aesthetically compelling.
- Incubate the Unknown:
- Serve as primary PM for nascent (“v1”) business lines.
- Convert edge-case opportunities into playbooks, hardware specs, and service models.
- Productize Expeditionary Services:
- Standardize the “Nooks Experience” for off-site environments.
- Maintain consistent interface, branding, and security posture across permanent hubs and remote/mobile sites.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration:
- Coordinate with Growth, Ops, Finance, HR, and Digital Product to integrate expeditionary offerings into the broader ecosystem.
- Market Navigation & Pricing:
- Define pricing models and market segmentation for non-traditional usage (e.g., short-term classified surge capacity, mobile deployments, high-security events).
- Rigorous Product Discipline:
- Use PM frameworks like roadmapping, prioritization, and KPI tracking despite logistical/physical deployment complexity.
- Executive Translation:
- Articulate ROI, strategic trade-offs, and mission impact to executive leadership.
Requirements
- Zero-to-One mindset: proven ability to build ambiguous concepts into functional, revenue-generating products/operations.
- Complex lifecycle management: experience leading high-stakes projects involving hardware, logistics, or specialized construction.
- Operational grit: comfortable with both executive-level roadmaps and hands-on deployment troubleshooting.
- Cross-functional leadership: lead and influence designers, engineers, and operators without direct authority.
- Strategic product management: strong Product Management (or related strategic field) experience.
- Financial acumen: unit economics and capital allocation expertise; balance hardware/logistics lifecycle rigor with long-term roadmap impact.
Eligibility
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to obtain/maintain clearance eligibility.
Compensation
- $165,000 – $189,000 USD salary range.
