Role Overview
The University of Idaho Foundation is seeking an Enterprise Developer III or IV (UI Foundation) to support its evolving enterprise technology ecosystem. The role works primarily on full-stack development across Microsoft-centric platforms, collaborating with Foundation teams and university partners to improve software delivery, automation, integrations, and responsible technology adoption.
Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and implement complex enterprise software
- Analyze existing systems to support new complex systems and algorithms
- Perform complex analysis, testing, and debugging
- Work on database and user interface design
- Build and maintain integrations with other systems and applications
- Apply secure programming practices
- Develop and execute test plans
- Perform data modeling, performance, and testing
- Use control techniques and configuration management
- Monitor software behavior and recommend/implement approved changes
Enterprise Developer III (level)
- Own medium-sized projects or portions of larger projects (moderate scope/complexity)
- Resolve a range of issues by selecting appropriate tools, methods, and techniques
Enterprise Developer IV (level)
- Apply advanced software concepts to medium-to-large projects (broad scope/complexity)
- Regularly resolve highly complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation
- Select evaluation criteria, tools, and techniques to achieve outcomes
- Direct/oversee system changes
Requirements
- Enterprise Developer III: 5 years of professional programming/development experience with progressive responsibility
- Experience applying secure software development practices
- Advanced skills in software design, modification, implementation, and deployment, including object-oriented programming concepts
- Understanding functional needs and translating those needs into software
Nice-to-haves (implied)
- Experience across ERP/CRM/CMS/data/integration ecosystems
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and enterprise integrations
- Exposure to AI-enabled development practices
