About the role
Role Overview
Enterprise Developer II or III supporting and advancing the University of Idaho’s Sitecore enterprise ecosystem, including Sitecore AI, Content Hub, Search, Personalize, and CDP. The position is housed in University Communications & Marketing (UCM) as part of the web team, with day-to-day work directed by UCM and close collaboration with the IT development team.
Responsibilities (Enterprise Developer II)
- Research, develop specifications, design, write, modify, test, debug, troubleshoot, document, and maintain source code
- Create and evaluate moderately complex software and analyze software for new systems/algorithms
- Perform data analysis, testing, and debugging
- Design and support databases, user interfaces, and integrations with other systems/applications
- Apply basic data sources and security practices
- Use source code control techniques and support configuration management and creation processes
- Gather and analyze data as needed
Responsibilities (Enterprise Developer III)
- Build and maintain enterprise applications/services across server, OS, desktop, and mobile contexts
- Own and deliver medium-sized projects or portions of larger projects; resolve a wider range of issues using appropriate tools/methods
- Develop and implement complex software and perform complex analysis/testing/debugging
- Apply complex data-source design, moderately complex security practices, and participate in test planning
- Perform data modeling, performance and testing activities; monitor control techniques and configuration management
- Develop recommendations for approval and implement changes
Required Experience (Enterprise Developer II)
- 2 years of professional experience as a programmer/developer including:
- Applying secure software development practices
- Intermediate ability in designing, developing, modifying, and deploying software using object-oriented programming
- Following software specifications
- Performing software testing and writing test plans for simple requirements
- Using common programming tools
- Using software repositories for code storage/versioning
- Identifying and resolving basic application problems
- Communicating technical information to technical stakeholders at different levels
