About the role

Role Overview

Slalom is hiring an Enterprise - Composable Platforms Architect to help build modern, composable digital experiences using API-first platforms and cutting-edge technologies.

What You’ll Do

Craft modular & performant components
- Design and build semantic, accessible, modular UI components that scale.
Support headless CMS integrations
- Develop digital experiences using headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Sanity, Contentstack, Storyblok, and Sitecore.
Deploy with modern cloud platforms
- Use platforms like Vercel for efficient application deployment and strong performance.
Optimize front-end workflows
- Automate front-end infrastructure, integrate with back-end APIs, and streamline design system usage across brands and channels.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Work with PMs, digital strategists, designers, and researchers to deliver bespoke experiences.

What You’ll Bring

Front-end expertise
- Semantic, responsive, and accessible front-end development.
- Modern JS frameworks: Next.js, React, or Vue.js.
- Strong CSS fundamentals and experience with Tailwind.
Ability to work across the stack
- Build API routes, connect to databases, configure auth, set up CI/CD, and debug production issues.
Composable & headless architecture experience
- Deep experience with API-first and headless DXP concepts (CMS/DAM/Personalization/CDP) and SaaS/API gateway integrations.
Unit testing
- Define and implement testing strategy using Jest, Vitest, and React Testing Library.
Design systems
- Experience using Figma and Storybook to maintain consistency.
Performance optimization
- Core Web Vitals, image optimization, code splitting, and caching strategies.
DevOps awareness
- Comfortable with Git workflows and deployment automation on Vercel or Netlify.
Communication
- Translate complex technical problems for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Haves (Implied)

Experience building multi-brand/multi-channel composable experiences with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., integration/platform ecosystems).
