About the role
Role Overview
As an Enterprise Business Development Representative (East) at Chainguard, you will drive enterprise account strategy and generate real pipeline through technical outbound outreach. You’ll engage engineers and security leaders, qualify early opportunities, and partner closely with enterprise AEs to improve the overall sales motion.
Responsibilities
- Drive enterprise account strategy by mapping target accounts and identifying entry points across security, platform, and engineering teams.
- Run technical outbound campaigns with highly personalized outreach tailored to developers, DevOps, and security leaders.
- Lead early technical conversations to qualify opportunities, understanding technical context, risk posture, and business priorities.
- Collaborate with enterprise AEs and use sales tools effectively to build pipeline.
- Continuously improve the outbound motion and provide feedback to the business.
Requirements
- Proven ability to generate pipeline through outbound (not only inbound qualification).
- Track record of hitting or exceeding pipeline targets.
- Curious and motivated to learn how modern software and security work.
- Experience with Salesforce and Outreach/Salesloft (or similar) tools.
- 1+ years as a BDR/SDR, ideally supporting mid-market or enterprise accounts.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building your own approach.
- Strong writing skills, especially for personalized outreach.
- Experience engaging multiple stakeholders in technical or complex organizations.
