Engineering Specialist IV

Role Overview

Engineering Specialist IV is a technical expert who performs engineering work on complex, specialist subject areas. You will support management with the analysis, interpretation, and application of complex information, while responding to and resolving issues across multiple technology areas.

Responsibilities

• Respond to issues across environment, hardware, system, and/or software, and implement resolutions across technology areas
• Support multiple systems simultaneously
• Provide leadership for large project efforts
• Perform specialist activities such as:
  • Configuration Management
  • System Administration
  • Security Administration
  • Network Administration
  • Development System Implementation and/or Production System Implementation
• Support or lead change management, outage management, and/or project management
• Provide mentoring/knowledge transfer to less-senior staff
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws/regulations and company policies/procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of experience in an information technology or engineering environment
• Knowledge of capital planning and forecasting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Strong computer skills across hardware, software, and systems
• Ability to mentor/coach and serve as a knowledge resource
