Role overview

Engineering Program Manager, Infrastructure at Stripe. You’ll lead cross-cutting corporate technology and infrastructure programs and partner with engineering teams to shape and deliver solutions across IT and work tracking.

What you’ll do

Partner with engineering teams across a portfolio of infrastructure programs, focusing on cross-cutting initiatives for IT and work tracking solutions
Drive program work in areas such as:
- Automating workflows, creating self-service opportunities, and implementing agentic solutions
- New system implementations (e.g., RFPs, data migration)
- Deprecation and consolidation of low-usage SaaS tools
- Mergers & Acquisitions integrations (acquired systems into Stripe)
- Security, audit, and compliance programs
- Scaling organization processes such as the Program Delivery Lifecycle
- Improving how teams track Key Results, program updates, and alignment across products

Responsibilities

Define and produce high-quality written proposals, communications, and documentation
Develop and iterate on program management techniques, frameworks, and KPIs to meet goals with clear success criteria
Build consensus and influence peers/stakeholders in ambiguous situations
Lead program status reviews and deliver regular stakeholder and executive communications
Set timelines and manage cross-functional teams to deadlines by proactively handling blockers, scope changes, shifting priorities, and risks
Interface with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization
Propose and implement process improvements and drive efficiencies across Corporate Technology
Manage change, operate under uncertainty, and handle risk effectively

Requirements

2+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, and/or program management experience
Strong analytical skills: distill complex information and make recommendations/proposals
Proven program management across the full software development lifecycle (kick-off to launch)
Excellent written and verbal communication; strong stakeholder and senior-leader relationship-building
Experience driving internal process improvements across multiple teams/functions
Ability to operate autonomously and lead large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions, including stakeholders in different disciplines and time zones

Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams
