About the role
Role Overview
Engineering Operations Manager (Remote, United States) responsible for improving the effectiveness, scalability, and operational performance of the engineering organization. You will design and implement engineering operations systems, processes, metrics, and resource planning capabilities to support growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of engineering operational processes, systems, and governance.
- Build and implement resource management, capacity planning, and workforce forecasting across multiple teams and programs.
- Use organizational performance data to improve utilization, delivery effectiveness, staffing efficiency, onboarding, training, and execution.
- Own engineering operational improvement initiatives from concept through implementation and adoption.
- Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting to provide leadership visibility into workforce performance, capacity, demand, and organizational health.
- Partner with engineering leadership, program/project management, and operations to identify risks, remove barriers, and improve cross-functional coordination.
- Evaluate and improve engineering tools, workflows, and business systems to enable scalable growth.
- Mature future engineering operations capabilities, including resource coordination and operational support functions.
- Lead special projects and strategic initiatives as organizational needs evolve.
Collaboration & Communication
- Align priorities and staffing strategies across engineering, project delivery, operations, and leadership teams.
- Facilitate tradeoff discussions across competing priorities and resource constraints.
- Communicate operational risks, recommendations, and improvement opportunities clearly to stakeholders.
- Build alignment and drive adoption of new processes/tools/ways of working.

- Strong ability to solve complex organizational problems and influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience building scalable operating models for technical teams.
- Commitment to quality and safety processes, including adherence to company policies and QMS requirements.
