Role Overview

As an Engineering Manager at Xero, you will lead an inclusive, high-performing engineering team and drive the delivery of high-quality software. Requirements

Extensive professional software engineering experience, including delivery of complex systems and demonstrated technical maturity.
Proven experience leading, coaching, and performance-managing engineers and improving team capability over time.
Track record of translating business goals into executable engineering plans, balancing delivery and sustainability.
Experience with high-scale, high-availability distributed systems, including incident response.
Hands-on production coding experience (writing, reviewing, and debugging) with credibility to guide engineering decisions.
Experience leading adoption of AI-native engineering workflows to improve productivity and quality.
